A lot of people hear me talking about the focus. And not focusing on money because it makes people do stupid sh*t. And that’s very true.
But one of the things that I do focus on in my business is where the money goes and how it flows. In what direction and where. Because knowing where your money goes allows you to measure.
And there’s an old saying that, “You can’t manage what you don’t measure”.
And when it comes to financial reporting, it is literally one of the most important things that you need to learn how to master on a monthly basis.
Most people do their finances, once a year, at tax time. Twice a year if they’re lucky. For us, we do it every fortnight to every month, at an absolute minimum. And as a result, we can find things, spot things, look at trends.
Either trends going down, trends going up and we can react accordingly, and very, very quickly.
If you want to learn how to grow, you’ve got to get your accounts in order. If you wanna manage it, you need to measure it. If you wanna grow it, you need to know it. Get on it.
